SCLA High School Girls at State Playoff Games
Congratulations to H.S. Varsity Girls for achieving 4th place in Division II Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League (THSLL)!SCLA High School Girls competed in the DII TGHSLL State Tournament in Dallas at ESD on May 8-9, 2010.
The Lady Dragons went into the tournament as the #6 seed in DII. Their first game was against St. Michael's from Austin. The Lady Dragons beat St. Michael's 20-9. This win led them into the semi-finals against St. Agnes from Houston. The Lady Dragons played with only one sub and fought an amazing battle losing to St. Agnes by only one point (final score 14-13).
Head Coach Katie Arnold stated, "This is one of the best games I have ever seen this team play. We only had 1 sub and St. Agnes had multiple subs. Our goalie Kaitlin had an amazing game. Neither team scored until 17 minutes into the first half. They really played their hearts out."
The Lady Dragons ended the 2010 season in 4th place in TGHSLL Division II.
